A Closer Look at Its Founder

As a brand strategist and messaging expert, Martha understands that successful communication is only possible when created within the proper strategic context. Martha's clients hire her for her expertise in strategy and messaging as well as her years of experience building targeted communications programs.

Over the course of her career, Martha has formulated
highly effective strategies to address diverse communications needs.

Recognizing that branding not only raises awareness, but serves to simplify communication and foster an understanding of vital concerns, Martha recently expanded her business to include the Federal sector. Working with senior leadership teams at the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Veterans Affairs, she developed programs to help the agencies accomplish their mission critical objectives through improved communications.

Martha spent her early career in New York City working for McCann Erickson Worldwide and Grey Advertising. Managing category leaders from Bloomingdale's and SONY to NBC and The New York Times, she learned how successful strategies are not only created, but also realized. Later, as a Vice President at The Advertising Educational Foundation, Martha worked alongside industry CEOs to build one of the most successful advocacy programs for the advertising industry.

Martha returned home to Washington, DC where she led diverse marketing efforts working for companies such as Marriott International, and subsequently helped build a Washington, DC presence for Sullivan & Company/NY, a communications agency serving Fortune 500 companies.

Martha thrives on finding solutions for wide-ranging
communication needs.

In 2004, Martha founded her own company, MSA Communications, where she works with category leaders in both the private sector and Federal agencies on varied initiatives to foster accomplished communication. In addition to her extensive experience in strategy, messaging and project management, Martha brings to her clients strong interpersonal skills, an objective perspective, and a sense of humor to get the job done.
